Premiers jours en Inde
Par Cyrièle Je suis en Inde, et c’est incroyable. Je n’avais encore jamais visité l’Inde, alors avant de partir, j’ai questionné les gens autour de moi. Ils m’ont tous dit que ce serait à la fois extraordinaire et dur. Je n’ai passé qu’une semaine à Goa et je comprends déjà pourquoi. Je séjourne à Agonda, un petit village situé le long de la côte ouest de l’Inde. Le centre de yoga dans lequel je séjourne - Sampoorna yoga - est plutôt grand et nous n’avons qu’à traverser la route pour arriver sur la magnifique et longue plage de sable blanc d’Agonda.
Depuis que j’ai commencé ma formation de professeur de yoga, je pratique tous les jours dans un shala qui fait face à l’océan, au milieu de la jungle. Mis à part les moustiques, c’est fabuleux. Tous les soirs on termine notre pratique en regardant le soleil se coucher sur la baie d’Agonda. La température est extrême. On fait du hot yoga tous les jours, et on doit boire deux fois plus d’eau que d’ordinaire pour compenser toute la sueur que l’on perd sur nos tapis. Ce n’est pas vraiment la température en réalité, mais plutôt l’humidité ambiante; on peut dire que ça force à accepter et se sentir à l’aise avec sa propre sueur, et à terme, avec la sueur de ses camarades de classe.
Nous avons de la chance cependant, car la plage est littéralement à une minute de nos chambres - on peut aller se rafraichir dans l’océan ou bien prendre un bain de soleil pendant notre pause déjeuner (si tant est qu’on ait fini nos devoirs…). J’ai grandi dans le sud de la France donc je pense pouvoir dire que j’ai eu la chance d’assister à de magnifiques couchers de soleil pendant mon enfance, cependant je n’ai jamais vu de coucher de soleil aussi beau que celui de la plage d’Agonda. En quelques minutes, le ciel passe de bleu à orange puis à rose, et on pourrait se croire sur une île paradisiaque… jusqu’à ce qu’on croise des vaches, qui semblent apprécier tout autant les longues balades sur la plage pendant le coucher du soleil. Pas de doute, nous sommes en Inde!
La nourriture est fantastique. Vraiment. Depuis que j’ai déménagé au Royaume-Uni j’ai découvert la véritable nourriture indienne et il ne s’est pas passée une semaine sans que je mange un baingan bharta (aubergines <3). Pour ce voyage j’étais très stressée par l’hygiène et les possibles intoxications alimentaires mais jusqu’ici tout va bien. Je suis très prudente mais aucunes de mes camarades - qui globalement sont moins prudentes que moi - n’ont été malades depuis le début de la formation.
Les indiens sont tellement gentils. Quand je me suis baladée dans le village j’ai rencontré quelque femmes qui portaient des saris - le costume indien typique pour les femmes. Les saris sont de couleurs vives et ils apportent une touche de vie dans ce paysage autrement plutôt poussiéreux et boueux. Je crois que ce qui m’a le plus frappée c’est à quel point la beauté et la misère cohabitent. À quel point les couleurs et sourires des indiens semblent tout de même s’accorder avec les décharges à ciel ouvert et les vaches gisantes sur le bas côté de la route.
Cet après midi et demain nous avons enfin un peu de temps libre, que je vais passer à faire mes devoirs et explorer le reste de la baie. Je ne peux pas vous dire à quel point je suis reconnaissante d’être ici et d’apprendre toutes ces choses sur le yoga mais aussi sur le peuple indien, découvrir un nouveau pays et créer des connexions sincères avec des gens bienveillants. On m’avait dit que ce voyage en Inde serait à la fois extraordinaire et dur. Mais c’est aussi tellement énergisant et spirituel. C’est extrême, mais j’accueille avec plaisir tous ces sentiments.
